they gnaw at me

They gnaw at me-

past,  present and future.

The present continuous continues to

gnaw at me joining hands with the perfect.

The simple present transformed  me to a robot

But the past simple has planted some seeds of valor,

virtue and endurance in my fertile mind.

The simple future haunts me most with its worries

anxieties, hopes, and desires,

I tend to neglect this moment, the now.

The simple past though departed from me,

Left some sweet memories

and I cherish them with the now now.
