Uses of the cross…

Use of the Cross…………….

I am the vine and you are the branches. As long as you remain in me and I in you,

you bear much fruit, but apart from me you can do nothing.  (The Bible, John 15)

In his letters St. Francis of Sales tells about a custom of the country districts in which he lived. He had often noticed a farm servant going across a farmyard to draw water at the well. He also noticed that, before she lifted the overflowing pail, the girl always put a piece of wood into it. One day he went out to the girl and asked her, “Why do you do that?” She looked surprised and answered, as if it were a matter of course, “Why?” To keep the water from spilling, to keep it steady.”

Writing to a friend later on, the Bishop told this story and added,

“So when your heart is distressed and agitated, put the Cross into its Centre to keep it steady.”

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to her and said, ‘Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. After a few minutes, she returned and handed him the map, correctly fitted and taped together.
The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly. ‘Oh,’ she said, ‘on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, Then our country just came together.’

So… When we get Jesus back where He Belongs– Our  Life will become Meaningful!
Without Him You can do Nothing!
