What is health? Health is a state of physical and mental well being. Se when we say we are healthy, we mean that we are physically and mentally in a good condition. But not everyone who says that they are healthy, are really healthy. People nowadays think that being healthy is merely the absence of a disease, but it is not true. Also, there are no short cuts to a healthy life.
We have come across many captions in our day today life such as “Lose 5 Kgs in 5 days” etc. These are not true. They only mislead youths and land them up in great problems related to health. To maintain good health, one has to do exercise regularly, eat healthy food and avoid junk foods. All these things are taught to us right from our childhood, but who cares to follow?
Coming to teenagers, they don’t even bother to listen to what their parents say, but they easily influenced by their peers. So, teenagers should be educated accordingly so they do not fall pray to the short cuts to the treasure of health.
Swami Vivekananda once said, “My dear young friends, instead of wasting your time in reading the holy scriptures and the umpanishads play footaball , it is that which will take you more closer to the heaven”. And Mark Twain said once, “A healthy mind only resides in a healthy body.” But nowadays black clouds have surrounded our eyes and hence people are losing their concentration over health. People have become manipulative and materialistic than ever. This has resulted in people slowing and degrading their health . People don’t really care about health now.
